Stewart Island Visitor Terminal, Main Wharf,
Oban
Do you want to explore New Zealand's southern most island and learn about the Department of Conservation's protection efforts? Then our conservation expedition is the journey for you! Most of Stewart Island is a part of the Rakiura National Park, and we want you to experience it all from the luxury of our six day five night cruise. Our rooms are comfortable and delicious meals are provided daily from the on-board chef.
Your journey starts with a cruise across Foveaux Strait from Bluff to Stewart Island’s eastern shoreline. After boarding the Milford Wanderer, you’ll spend the next six days cruising some of the most magical waters in New Zealand, venturing ashore regularly for guided walks and visits to historic sites.
We have on-board specialist nature guides who provide informative commentary and evening talks. We take you ashore daily to explore densely forested hills, golden sand beaches, marine and bird life and historical landmarks of the island.
We have coach connections available from Invercargill to Bluff.
